About Us

HIKE4LIFE – TODAY

Hike4Life is a walking challenge that brings people together to walk, talk, and raise funds for youth mental health. Participants choose their target distance, gather their community, and take on the month with purpose.

Suicide is the leading cause of death among young Australians. Whether you’re hiking up a mountain, striding along a coastal track, or walking to work in the city, every kilometre you cover can help create change for the better.

Hike4Life is about more than the distance. It’s about showing up, walking side by side, and supporting young people in need to stay connected, live well and thrive.

All funds raised go directly to the award-winning Live4Life program, helping equip the next generation with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to look after their mental health — and support each other.

The Hike4Life Story

Hike4Life was created by the same team behind LAP it UP, born from the belief that movement, connection, and shared challenge can change lives.

After seeing the impact of communities coming together through swimming, we wanted to create something that invited people outdoors, into conversation, and onto the same path. Hike4Life is the next chapter, shaped by the same purpose and powered by the same people.

Every step helps fund Live4Life, an evidence-based mental health education and suicide prevention program supporting young people in rural and regional communities across Australia.
