Let's make this happen!
For the last 6 months I have been working along side Youth in the community struggling with Mental health and unhealthy relationships with substances. Hike4Life are raising money to fund training for Mental Health First Aid Instructors in the community. A Mental Health First Aid Instructor is a licensed trainer accredited to teach individuals how to recognise, support and connect people experiencing mental health problems or crises to professional help.How amazing would it be to have more people in our schools and around the community who are accredited and equipped with the right tools for helping Youth in need. I have seen first hand how many kids are struggling day to day in our community. I strongly believe that having people accessible to them such as their favourite teacher, or their local sporting coach equipped with these tools for success would make the process of helping them less confrontational and more successful.
The more people in the community with Mental Health First Aid in their tool belt the better!
Raising $695 can help support a teacher, carer or community member become a Mental Health First Aid instructor and help young people in the community!
